Avoid Looking Washed Out This Winter With These Tips!
Winter for most of us means getting less sun and getting a bit more pale. If you're on the real pale end of the spectrum like me, well… let's just say we've got a bit more work to do to avoid looking washed out! As always, I am a huge supporter of no makeup days, full glam, and anything in between. All I care about is that you are feeling confident and living your best life and if makeup helps with that, then I'm all for it!
So if you do like wearing makeup and are wondering how to get the most out of it this winter then this post is for you! I'll share my best tips to ensure you are looking and feeling warm, fresh, and gorgeous! There are two main things to remember to avoid looking washed out: warmth and color. Let's get started!
ADDING WARMTH
The first tip is adding warmth to your face and makeup during winter. The easiest and most affordable way to do this is with bronzer. You can go get a spray tan or a face tanner product, but sometimes that can get expensive to upkeep.
I personally, just use a cream bronzer! Especially during winter, I like to start my makeup by applying a light layer of bronzer all over my face to give me a warm base to work with. This works just like a facial self tanner does except you have more control about how heavy to apply and what tone it comes out as. I use the bronzers from Seint Beauty, they have 4 beautiful shades to choose from for any skin-tone!
I also like doing this if I am in-between highlight (foundation) shades. By giving myself a “tan” first, I can usually stick with my summer shade and then use a lighter shade to add a brightening dimension around my eyes and down my nose.

ADDING COLOR
The next tip is to add color! Of course this is important in any season but you can really see the impact during winter. Typically, I do save most of the bright and “fun” shades for summer but here's a few I like for winter!
These lip AND cheek shades really add that warmth and beautiful flush without going too crazy. I like to keep my eye makeup light and neutral a lot of the time to keep the look balanced with these lip colors. I also tend to opt for warmer eyeshadow shades. All of these lip and cheek shades are from Seint Beauty. They are creme and so beautiful and feel so nice on your lips and skin! You can shop them here.
My favorite brush to do both these tips is the Blush/Bronzer brush from Seint! The smaller end is perfect for blush application and buffing the edges for a flawless and natural looking flush. I even use the small end to apply my highlight (foundation) for light/medium coverage. The larger end of this brush is of course perfect for applying bronzer!
Although I only talked about two tips, these really make all the difference! Add in your own spin with some new eyeshadow looks. Whatever you do, do it for you! Again, to shop any products I shared, click here! To take my FREE makeup routine quiz, click here. Thanks for reading along today!
