The Easiest Way To Clean Makeup Brushes
Alright so cleaning makeup brushes is probably the least exciting thing about makeup but if you've heard this message a million times.. sorry but it is for good reason!! Seriously, stop what you're doing now and go clean those brushes. Well actually maybe read this blog post first so you know the best (and easiest) way to clean your makeup brushes so you don't have to put it off or dread it anymore!
STEP 1
Okay the first step is the materials which is crazy simple:
-your dirty brushes
-a towel or microfiber cloth
-a brush cleanser spray (grab my fav one here!)
And that's it! Ready for step 2?
STEP 2
Okay this is the hard part so make sure to read slow and pay attention.. you're now going to spray the ends of your brushes and then with a small amount of force- wipe/swirl them on your cloth. And then… that's actually it. Haha okay all jokes aside and arrogance played down, it really is that easy like I promised!
This is why I love using a brush cleaning spray rather than using water and soap. This makes the process of cleaning makeup brushes faster and easier PLUS you don't have to let your brushes dry overnight or even 30 minutes tbh. I used to just wash my makeup brushes with soap and water and I swear it took so long and I never liked how the smaller afterwards and my brushes didn't feel soft after. So switch to a brush cleanser spray and you'll thank me!

So now that I've shown you a super easy way to clean your makeup brushes, maybe you're still shrugging and thinking it's all a waste of time anyway. Ma'am no. Cleaning your makeup brushes at least once a week is actually really important! Here's why!
Extends the life of your brushes (especially if you're investing in expensive makeup brushes, you should probably take care of them)
Makes your makeup application smoother and better by not applying with a caked up or dry brush
Gets rid of bacteria and germs that can cause breakouts and other not fun stuff
Will keep your makeup in good clean condition as well
And let’s just say it- clean makeup brushes look prettier!
Again, I personally suggest cleaning all your makeup brushes once a week. I wash mine on Sunday since I don't wear makeup that day anyway, then they are ready to go for a new week!
