Maskcara Beauty is now.. SEINT.
Is your head spinning a little bit?! I think after several days, mine has finally stopped! It is always exciting, interesting, and sometimes confusing when a brand you’ve come to love and know launches a rebrand but I’m here to walk you through this one and cover all the questions you might have! The most important thing to note first is that all of your favorite products especially iiid foundation is here to STAY! It is not changing or going anywhere so go ahead and take a big relieving exhale! haha although some of the products are getting a new look, and a new line is being introduced soon.. the original cream foundations, contours, ect will remain the same. So why a big name change and rebrand? Let’s dive into it! (for total clarity and consistency, I’ll be sharing direct answers and statements from corporate in addition to my own personal thoughts)
WHY A NAME CHANGE?
“Maskcara Beauty will always be a beloved part of our story. As the brand has grown, we have seen some issues with the name Maskcara; that the story of Cara’s blog gets lost, that we don’t actually sell mascara, that we don’t believe that makeup is a “mask,” and perhaps most importantly that this isn’t just Cara’s story. We wanted a name that Artists particularly could connect to and feel a sense of ownership of. Recognizing and enhancing the beauty that already exists in every face has always been our inspiration, so we are changing our name to better reflect our mission.”
I totally agree with all of these reasons. The name Maskcara was always a bit confusing and sort of limiting. I like the beauty and classiness of SEINT. Being honest, I still feel like it’s a name that can be tricky to spell and still needs an explanation or “back story” but overall I like it and I'm glad Maskcara is rebranding!
WHAT DOES SEINT MEAN?
“Our brand is about bringing beauty to the world and enhancing the beauty in every face. We believe there is a truth and a wholeness in beauty, and that concept kept bringing us back to beauty being divine and holy. We wanted a name that embraces the idea that beauty can stand on its own. The name Seint (pronounced as “saint” but spelled in traditional old french) is inspired by our belief that seeking, experiencing, and cultivating beauty is a sacred work; the work of saints. Saints aren’t made or created; they are simply recognized for the good they bring to the world. In a similar way, we believe that we don’t make or create beauty; we recognize, nurture, and preserve it.”
I’m honestly not totally in love with the meaning behind it. Mostly because I am not at all a religious person so I don’t like the religious references. BUT I get the idea they’re going for and I appreciate the notion of simply appreciating and enhancing beauty rather than creating it as that’s also always been important to me as well!
SO WHAT ALL IS CHANGING?
“Brushes, perfectors, compacts, and the skincare line are all getting an updated look, but the ingredients and functionality of each product will stay exactly the same. You will notice a very subtle change with the Seint rebranded tins. You can expect the functionality of the website to remain the same; navigating the pages won’t change. You can anticipate updated aesthetics, as well as messaging for the rebranding. The brushes, skincare, and perfumes will be getting new names but same functionality. Our Instagram name will be changing to @seintofficial and the new website directory will be seintofficial.com (current clients will be automatically redirected to their artist’s new page)”
Again, the things we love most about Maskcara Beauty are staying the same! I’m really excited for everything to just get a fresh modern update and for some new exciting products to drop soon! I think overall this rebrand transition is going to be a smooth one and a good change!
IS THE ARTIST PROGRAM CHANGING OR ENDING?
The artist program is staying! You will still get my continued help and support as I’ve always offered. I will still be doing free color matching, creating content and YouTube videos although they will be Seint branded going forward. Some small details of the artist program are changing but those things only pertain to/affect artists. If you have had a desire of becoming a Maskcara artist (Seint artist) you can still join anytime! Kits may still be Maskcara branded until sold out but starting Jan 15, 2021, all artist kits will be Seint branded.
That’s about all the information I have for you right now but as I get more questions and information from corporate, I will update this post! As always though if you have any questions, concerns, or need a shade match then please email me! simplemeetsbold@gmail.com . I hope you are excited about this rebrand and name change but it’s understandable to be frustrated, confused or even sad about it! It will take some time to get used to it but I’m just happy that the important things are staying the same! Thank you for your continued support with my business!
